'Tis the season for summer berries.
Black & Red Rapsberries at Tousey Farm's Booth
Plus, they'll have Currants in three varieties - Red, White & Black
Pick up some Red Currants and try this delightful recipe for Red Currant Sorbet
The first of the season corn has arrived!
The ears may be on the small side but don't let that deter you.
The corn is sweet and delicious.
We're also seeing broccoli starting to show up.
If you haven't tried the sweet summer onions from Brittany Hollow Farm, you don't know what you've been missing.
They are a perfect and unexpected addition to any BBQ.
Slice them into thick rings crosswise and then run 2 skewers side by side through the middle to keep the rings in place. Brush with a little olive oil, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
Place them on the grill for a couple of minutes on each side when your other grill items are almost ready.
You'll be amazed at how sweet and wonderful an onion can be.
Summer Squash is here.
...and you can still get squash blossoms too.
Don't Miss
Stop by Wiltbank Farm's booth this Sunday.
They will be cooking up their wonderful mushrooms
and will be offering free tastes to market shoppers.
Plus
Dancing Ewe Farm will introduce their new Crostata di Ricotta this week.
A savory tartlet filled with their own sheep's milk ricotta.
We'll post pictures of its loveliness next week, but you can stop by this week to pick one up.
