The Rhinebeck Farmers Market is pleased to offer the John Honey Scholarship again this year. The scholarship is named in honor of one of the founders and long-time member on the Board of Directors, John Honey.
The $1500 award will be given to a graduating Rhinebeck or Red Hook High School senior or the child of one of the Rhinebeck Farmers' Market vendors who will be attending college to major in agriculture, food science, environmental studies or a related field.
In consultation with the schools, a committee of the Rhinebeck Farmers Market Board of Directors will review applications.
The deadline for submissions is May 1 and applicants must have maintained a B average, been accepted to a college or university, and submit a transcript and essay describing why they have chosen their major.
