What's in the market this week?

Fresh Sweet Corn
+ Sunflowers, Garlic & Apricots

Summer's Bounty is filling the market to the brim.

***

Tomatoes

It's peak season for tomatoes. Come and get 'em.

***

Stop by Lynnhaven for some picnic-ready cheeses

like this torte with layers of Chevre, Pesto & Roasted Peppers

***

Potatoes

Brittany Hollow Farm has a really good selection of potatoes right now.

***

Did you know...

that you can get farm fresh Venison, Ostrich, Buffalo, Wild Boar, Rabbit & Quail in the market?
It's a good idea to walk through the market slowly and stop by each booth to see what might be available but not immediately visible. Goodness awaits.

***

Plums

One thing that makes shopping at the farmers' market so wonderful is that you can find so many things that you just won't find in a grocery store, like all of these varieties of plums.

***

Locally Milled Organic Grains & Flour

Wild Hive Farm Farm won't be able to come to the market themselves anymore but you can still find their locally milled, organic grains at Amazing Real Live Food Company's booth.
