We had a great time at the Taste of Rhinebeck last night. The weather was perfect for strolling the streets and nibbling on tasty morsels. It was wonderful to see everyone out and about enjoying springtime in Rhinebeck. We saw many familiar faces and made new friends as well and we had a chance to remind everyone that we’ll be open again in just a few short weeks on Mother’s Day, May 9th.
Block Factory Tamales wowed the crowd with 4 varieties of Tamalitos, cocktail sized versions of their famous Tamales filled with local meats and produce.
Meri Puccio of Julia & Isabella Fine Fare created a delicious Savory Bread Pudding using Wiltbank Farm Mushrooms, Sausages from Uphill Farm and Baguettes from Our Daily Bread which was served over a bed of gorgeous salad greens from Chris Regan at Sky Farm.
Tasters were treated to a sweet sampling of Migliorelli Farm’s apple and pear cider.
Special thanks Lila at Winter Sun Summer Moon for inviting us set up in front of her store for the event and for her encouragement in having the market join in the fun. Thanks to Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market Board member, Georgia Dent for helping to set up and breakdown. And last but not least, thank you to our vendors who participated in this event with generous donations of their products and talents: Block Factory Tamales, Julia & Isabella Fine Fare, Migliorelli Farm, Our Daily Bread, Sky Farm, Uphill Farm & Wiltbank Farm.
